Érablière Escuminac in Escuminac, Québec has combined tradition, craftsmanship, and sustainable innovation in organic maple syrup production for over 35 years. Under the guidance of master producer Martin Malenfant, every drop of syrup is crafted with care and respect for nature.
With a new, larger production facility, energy needs increased significantly, leading Malenfant to upgrade in February 2025 from an old wood boiler to a modern Hargassner woodchip heating system. The system provides reliable building heat and sap concentration energy, operates fully automatically, and uses only locally sourced woodchips. This upgrade made Érablière Escuminac the first CO₂-neutral maple syrup producer in Canada.
From the first sap flow to final bottling, production runs in perfect harmony with nature. The award-winning syrup is enjoyed worldwide, crafted with a heating solution as sustainable as the forest it comes from, supporting the high-quality standards of this traditional producer in a modern, eco-friendly way.
