At Barnet School in Vermont, the future is not only in the hands of our children, but also in the way we care for the planet they will inherit. To combine comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term sustainability, the school recently invested in two state-of-the-art Hargassner Eco PK 100 pellet boilers. Connected to an external silo and equipped with a fully automatic suction system, the installation provides reliable, renewable heat across the entire campus, no matter how cold Vermont winters become.
By switching from fossil fuels to locally sourced pellets, Barnet School significantly reduces its carbon footprint while ensuring a warm, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students and staff. This modern heating solution demonstrates the school’s strong commitment to renewable energy and environmental stewardship, showing students in a very concrete way that sustainable choices truly matter.
Our children are our future – and renewable heating is one way to help secure a greener, healthier world for generations to come. With Hargassner, Barnet School proves that innovation, comfort, education, and sustainability can go hand in hand.
