project
The task
The requirements:
- Heating an old farmhouse including three residences
- Replacing an old oil-fired boiler in the farmhouse with an alternative heating system
- Reduce dependence on fossil fuels
Our solution
The farm owners decided on a Nano-PK pellet heating system, which provides efficient and cost-effective heat:
- Nano-PK pellet boiler, 32 kW
- Petroleum-free heating
- Fuel costs nearly cut in half
Hargassner Nano-PK 32
Petroleum-free heating at nearly half the cost
At Foxbard Farm in Massachusetts, tradition and innovation go hand in hand. Home to several generations since 1942, the historic farmhouse built in 1812 now benefits from a modern, sustainable heating solution. The family, who produce pasture-raised Black Angus beef as well as hay, firewood, and timber, faced the decision of replacing their old oil-fired boiler.
Determined to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, they chose a Hargassner Nano-PK 32 pellet boiler. The system was carefully designed and installed to supply efficient, reliable heat and hot water for all three residences within the farmhouse. After their first full winter, the results speak for themselves: warm, comfortable living spaces, a cut in petroleum use, and fuel costs nearly cut in half.
Foxbard Farm is proud to combine renewable energy with family tradition – demonstrating how modern heating technology from Hargassner delivers comfort, savings, and sustainability.
