Our part
in this
project
The task
The requirements:
- Switching complete air duct system with high electric power consumption to renewable efficient heating system
- Not changing to floor heating, reuse existing duct system
Our solution
The owners decided on a Nano-PK pellet heating system, which provides efficient and cost-effective heat:
- 32 kW Nano-PK pellet boiler
- Integrated heat exchanger
- Reusing the existing air duct system

Efficient & sustainable heating upgrade with existing air system
Hargassner transformed a building’s heating system into a model of efficiency and sustainability by installing a Nano-PK 32 pellet boiler with integrated heat exchanger. The old system relied on a full air duct network with high electricity consumption, which was both costly and inefficient.
Now, thanks to this smart retrofit, the building runs on clean, renewable wood pellets, drastically cutting electricity usage while keeping comfort levels high. The best part? There was no need to switch to floor heating – the existing air duct system was reused, keeping disruption and renovation costs to an absolute minimum.
This project shows how innovative, eco-friendly heating solutions can be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure. It’s proof that going green doesn’t have to be complicated – the result is a major energy and cost reduction, a smaller environmental footprint, and a sustainable upgrade that really works for the client.
