Biomass rocks the
Woodstock of brass music

Biomass pioneer Hargassner is once again a sponsor at Austria’s largest brass band festival . The Woodstock of brass music in Ort im Innkreis. A total of 18 shower containers, each with ten shower cabins and Hargassner heating technology, are available to the 80,000 visitors. The special feature: The 100% COâ‚‚-neutral heated hot water reduce the ecological footprint by 7.7 tons of COâ‚‚.

Hargassner biomass heating technology of the highest quality is used. In each BLACK BOX shower container, built by Gföllner GmbH, a Hargassner “Smart-PK” pellet boiler with 32 kW output heat the hot water. This heating technology is very compact and features modern combustion and lambda probe control for lowest emissions.  With the aid of a highly efficient control concept, modulating operation is possible even with lower heat consumption. A sophisticated heat recovery strategy rounds off the sustainability concept. A total of approx. 7.7 tons of COâ‚‚ can be saved.

“Hargassner has always been a big fan of the Woodstock of brass music and therefore we are very happy that this has worked out with the sponsorship for such a huge event,” says Markus Hargassner, Managing Director of Hargassner Heiztechnik from Weng im Innkreis (on the left in the photo).

And further: “It is particularly close to our hearts that we could realize together with the festival team that containers, which are usually operated with gas, can also produce environmentally friendly heat. In this way, we are making our contribution to the long-term energy turnaround in the event sector as well. Biomass rocks and once again shows the sheer unlimited possibilities.”

Each “Smart-PK” boiler comes with a 175-liter integrated storage tank. So with about five minutes of showers, about 10,000 festival-goers can enjoy a hot shower for each fill of pellets in the 18 containers. This is ideal for the organizer, who plans to use the biomass-powered mobile shower containers at other events in the future.

Karl PĂĽhretmair (in the center of the photo), Managing Director of Gföllner Fahrzeugbau und Containertechnik, is also visibly proud: “As a visitor to the Woodstock of brass band music, it gave me particular pleasure not to have to go to a plastic pressed toilet box in the future. Our stylish BLACK BOX shower and toilet containers are luxurious mobile bathrooms and an upgrade for any event.”

Founder and organizer of Woodstock der Blasmusik Simon Ertl (pictured right) feels the same way: “We are very pleased that we were able to find partners with so much verve and quality awareness for the project with Hargassner and Gföllner. We are extremely pleased with the result and thank the lead persons Karl PĂĽhretmair and Markus Hargassner.”
