Patents as the key metric
The heating technology specialist from Weng has once again demonstrated exceptional development performance, even in challenging pandemic years. Based on the number of patents registered between January 2021 and November 2022, the Austrian Society for Consumer Studies (ÖGVS) has taken a close look at the innovative strength of Austrian companies. Hargassner is delighted to receive the award for its innovative strength in the technology field of “thermal processes and apparatus”.
Outstanding inventiveness
The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) has defined a total of 35 technology fields in order to bundle global patent activities and to better allocate the innovative strength of companies to homogeneous subject areas.
If a company has an above-average patent performance in at least one of the technology fields, it is one of the ÖGVS prize winners for the “Innovation Awards 2023”. The search includes data from all patent offices worldwide. Hargassner received the award in the field of “Thermal processes and apparatus”.
Focus on climate protection
The methodology of the ÖGVS is fundamental and cross-sectoral, also with regard to climate-friendly technologies. With its market research, it also provides an independent orientation for interested heating system buyers based on empirical and technical analyses.
