The task
What requirements were placed on us:
- Extension of an existing heat pump with wood log heating
- Flexible and future-proof heating system
- Optimal heating system for detached houses
Our solution
The intelligent combination of heat pump and wood gasifier ensures reliability and flexibility in heat generation.
- 1 x Smart-HV 17 wood log heating system with back end protection
- 1 x 1,000 l accumulator
- Additionally integrated: 1 heat circuit groups (HZK) for optimum heat distribution in the house
Hybrid heating: wood log boiler Smart-HV and heat pump
At this installation, an existing heat pump was supplemented with a Hargassner Smart-HV 17 wood log boiler featuring return temperature protection. The combination creates a flexible heating system. The intelligent integration of the heat pump and wood gasification boiler provides comfort in heat generation.
The Smart-HV is equipped with a return temperature protection unit (RLA). In this process, warm supply water is fed into the return line, reducing the temperature difference. This protects the boiler and enables low-maintenance operation. The RAG unit automatically manages the boiler’s return temperature protection while simultaneously charging the accumulator tank.
