Hargassner heat pump
Heating with an air-to-water heat pump
Heating with a heat pump utilises the obvious, namely heat from the environment – for example from the air. The modern Hargassner air/water heat pumps heat with the thermal energy of the ambient air – and therefore with a free and almost infinitely available resource. This is not only good for the household budget, but also for the climate.
Modern sustainable heating systems such as air/water heat pumps are future-proof alternatives to fossil-fuelled heating systems for large and small residential units, for single and multi-dwelling units. Thanks to their functionality, heat pumps are highly efficient and generate many times more energy than they consume.

Heating & cooling with heat pumps
Heating with an air/water heat pump not only has advantages in terms of energy and economy. This is because heat pumps do more than just maintain a pleasant room temperature – they can also be used to heat water, for example. Depending on the design, even cooling is possible with an air/water heat pump. To do this, the system simply reverses its mode of operation and extracts heat from the room.
While heating with a heat pump from Hargassner also works ideally with a stand-alone heating system, it can also be combined with other boilers for special requirements. In these heat pump hybrid systems, for example, a pellet boiler is also used. The hybrid system automatically utilises the heating system that makes the most sense at any given time, thus ensuring maximum efficiency with the highest possible heat output.
