Replacing the gas boiler with a heat pump: Seifriedsberger family opts for Hargassner Airflow-M
Looking for an alternative to gas heating, the Seifriedsberger family from Pramet, Upper Austria, decided to replace the gas boiler with a heat pump. Initially, a pellet boiler was also considered, but the limited space available for a pellet store and the existing photovoltaic system led to the decision in favour of the Airflow-M heat pump from Hargassner.
“After 24 years, it was time to finally tackle the issue of replacing the heating system. We wanted to take the step towards independence from gas, and above all from the volatile price of gas, and we choose a heat pump because of the funding. Another reason was that we produce our own electricity with a photovoltaic system, which fits in perfectly with the concept,” says homeowner Günter Seifriedsberger.
The complete replacement of the heating system was completed in just two days. The approximately 180 m² of living space is now efficiently heated with the Hargassner air to water heat pump via underfloor heating. With an output of 9 kW and a potential flow temperature of up to 65°Celsius, there are sufficient power reserves available. Switching to a heat pump not only provides greater independence, but also an environmentally friendly and future-proof heating solution.
