Efficiency in the smallest space

The task
What requirements were placed on us:
- Replacement of an existing oil heating system
- Heating solution for very small technical room
- Easiest possible integration of the PV system for domestic hot water
Our solution
The Damberger family decided to replace their old oil heating system with a modern Nano-PK 15 pellet boiler.
- 1 × Nano-PK 15 kW
- 1 × Hargassner HWS 320 hybrid accumulator tank
- Converted oil tank room as pellet storage system
In the Damberger family’s detached house, the existing oil heating system was replaced by a modern pellet boiler. They deliberately chose the Nano PK-15, as there was very little space available in the basement and the connection options were also limited. Another advantage: the former oil tank room could be converted into a practical pellet storage system without any major structural measures.
As the house is already equipped with a PV system, it made sense to utilise the solar energy generated for water heating as well. A Hargassner HWS 320 hybrid accumulator tank was installed for this purpose – an innovative freshwater module concept with an integrated electric heating element, which is also supplied via the pellet boiler. This means that the self-generated electricity can be used optimally, while the Nano PK-15 provides the remaining heat supply to the tank when needed.
Nano-PK 15 kW
Up to 50 % lower heating costs
The previous consumption of around 2,000 litres of heating oil was reduced to around four tonnes of pellets with the new pellet boiler. Based on an average price level over ten years, this results in savings of around 40-50%. In addition, the hybrid solution for domestic hot water preparation is an added value that further reduces operating costs.
