The requirements:
- A crisis-proof heating system for greater independence
- Automatic switching between operating modes
- Convenient heat generation and distribution
- Smart app control unit
Our solution
The Hertel family have made a smart choice for the new heating system in their detached house – the approximately 180 m² are now heated with pellets and wood logs.
- 1 x combi heating system Nano-PK 15 kW & Neo-HV 20 kW
- 2 x 825 l layered accumulator
- 1 x GWT-MAX pellet bag silo
- 1 x freshwater station
As part of a heating system upgrade, the Hertel family chose a Hargassner combination heating system consisting of a Neo-HV log wood boiler (20 kW) and a Nano-PK pellet boiler (15 kW). The system offers a high degree of flexibility: wood logs can be used for heating when desired, while the pellet boiler automatically takes over once the fuel chamber is empty. The Neo-HV features automatic ignition, which enhances ease of operation. Integrated components such as the return flow booster support gentle boiler operation.
Two buffer tanks with a combined capacity of 1,650 litres absorb excess heat generated from the wood logs, while a mixed heating circuit adjusts the flow temperature according to weather conditions.
Domestic hot water is provided through a hygienic fresh water station operating on a continuous flow principle, helping to prevent the formation of legionella. Thanks to its flexible design, the installed GWT-MAX fabric tank makes use of the available room height in the basement for pellet storage. The entire heating system can also be conveniently monitored and controlled remotely via the Hargassner app.
