The task

Our solution

Replacing the old heating system in a house in Haute-Garonne, France, allows the owner to use their own firewood even more efficiently. Optional automatic heating with pellets.

1 x 770 l pellets weekly tank

The owner of a house (130 m²) in France has replaced his existing heating system (oil heating and wood-burning stove) with the Hargassner Smart-DUO. The new combi boiler enables optimum utilisation of the own firewood without sacrificing convenience: As soon as the logs are burnt, the boiler automatically switches to pellets.

With the new combi boiler, the owner now relies exclusively on biomass, which is not only good for the environment, but also for the wallet: with the outdated oil heating system, around 1,900 litres of heating oil were consumed annually, which is around 2,200 euros in heating costs per year. With the new combination heating system, saving heating costs is very easy, as the following rough calculation shows: 100% operation with wood logs results in approx. 740, with pellets approx. 1,340 euros fuel costs / year. If you also take advantage of subsidies for biomass heating, you save twice as much.
