Our solution
Smart, flexible & sustainable heating: this is now possible in the Kasinger family’s farmhouse – thanks to the Smart-DUO 20.

Smart heating in the farmhouse
The Kasinger family from Braunau has brought their farmhouse up to date with the latest heating technology: the innovative Smart-DUO combi boiler from Hargassner now provides flexible and efficient heating with wood logs and pellets. This smart combination heating system combines traditional heat sources with modern convenience – ideal for anyone who wants to utilise sustainable resources and rely on a fully automatic heating solution at the same time.
The Smart-DUO from Hargassner
The Kasinger family’s 130 m² home previously used a conventional log boiler. As wood from their own forest is available, they wanted to continue heating with wood logs. At the same time, the family wanted a modern solution with automatic fuel supply and minimal effort. The Hargassner Smart-DUO fulfilled exactly these requirements.
With its two separate combustion chambers for wood logs and pellets, the combi boiler offers maximum flexibility. For automated operation, a pellets weekly tank was also installed to guarantee a reliable supply of pellets – weatherproof and space-saving.
The project shows how easy it is to switch to a modern biomass combi boiler in a farmhouse!
