Our solution
In the Hödl detached house, the Smart-Duo 17 with layered solar accumulator ensures comfortable heating with wood logs and pellets:
- 1 x combination heating system Smart-DUO 17 kW
- Top-mounted back-end protection
- 1 x 1800 L layered solar accumulator with hot water preparation
- 1 pellet store with 4 point suction units
The existing oil heating in the Hödl detached house was replaced with a modern and sustainable heating solution. The centrepiece is the Smart-DUO 17 kW combination heating system, which flexibly combines pellets and wood logs. Residents benefit from maximum convenience – automatic operation in everyday life and the option to heat with wood logs if required. Additional efficiency is provided by a return flow booster, which optimises heating operation and increases the service life of the system. The system is supported by a solar thermal system, which provides hot water, particularly in the summer months, thus reducing the load on the boiler.
A 1,800-litre solar stratified buffer stores the generated energy optimally and makes it available as required. The entire system is controlled by a smart energy management system that efficiently coordinates all components.
Particularly practical: the existing space of the former oil tank system could be ideally utilised for the pellet store. The pellets are sucked out of the store via a extraction system with several flexible extraction points. Inclined floors with a gradient of around 35° ensure that the fuel slides optimally to the extraction points. As soon as one area is emptied, the system switches to another extraction point – automatically via the 4-fold switchover unit.
The result is a convenient, efficient and environmentally friendly heating solution – perfectly tailored to the needs of the residents.
