Our solution
With the Hargassner Eco-HK 300 kW wood chip boiler, farmer Buchecker can now heat his buildings and also dry grain in summer:
- 1 x Eco-HK 300 kW wood chip boiler
- 1 x accumulator tank
- 1 x heat exchanger for drying systems
- 1 x agitator

Innovative heat generation and utilisation at the Buchecker farm with the Hargassner Eco-HK 300 kW wood chip boiler: The system uses a heat exchanger and fan to heat the air for the flat-grate drying (maize and woodchip drying), heats the stables, keeps the waterer frost-free using water and also supplies the residential building with heat. Hay drying is also supported in summer.
The ambient air is drawn in via the heat exchanger system and blown into the bulk material as heated air using a radial fan. With around 30,000 m³ of heated air per hour, the drying system is operated efficiently on the farm. The system is also supplemented by an agitator, which accelerates the drying process of the bulk material by mixing it evenly. In view of the ever-shorter harvest windows, the use of biomass for drying is a particularly efficient and sustainable solution. This increases added value and keeps it directly on the farm.
