The Tischlerei Temper from St. Oswald (Lower Austria), a specialist in high-quality staircase construction, relies on an innovative and sustainable heating concept to generate heat: By using a Hargassner Magno-UF 300, the company was able to significantly modernise its industrial heating and at the same time further optimise the use of wood waste as an energy source.

In line with a consistent circular economy, the wood waste from production and extraction is processed in-house. The shredded wood waste is stored in a high silo and used as fuel for the new heating system. Thanks to the Magno-UF 300’s underfeed technology, even very fine material can be utilised efficiently – a decisive advantage over the old system. The Magno-UF 300 installed in June 2024 replaces the previous 150 kW system. Despite the significantly higher heat output, fuel consumption is now considerably lower than before. This ensures not only the heating of the company buildings, but also a reliable heat supply for painting and wood drying. The energy-intensive drying chambers are now operated both efficiently and sustainably – without any additional energy purchases.

Another aim of the changeover was to continue using the existing infrastructure. A customised concept was developed together with Hargassner: The overhead discharge from the bunker takes place directly into the boiler room using a screw conveyor system – space-saving and effective. It took just two weeks to dismantle the old system and install the new Magno-UF 300 industrial heating system and accumulator tank – while the drying systems continued to operate.
