project
The task
The requirements:
- Heating of the company building and lumber drying
- Compliance with the statutory fine dust values
- Compliance with the funding guidelines for the process heat subsidy
Our solution
Thanks to the new Hargassner industrial heating system, the Schneider sawmill can now cover its energy requirements sustainably and CO2-neutrally.
- 1 x Hargassner industrial heating system Magno-VR 399 kW with Eco extraction system
- Fine dust value below 2.5 mg thanks to Hargassner particle seperator
- Energy booster 3.0 for flue gas condensation
Magno-VR 399 industrial heating system for the Schneider sawmill
The Schneider sawmill from Nußdorf in the district of Traunstein (Germany) has opted for a Magno-VR 399. The system, which also has an Eco extraction system, supplies the company building with heat and also heats the timber drying plant, which was built in 2023. Initial contact with Hargassner was made in December 2022, and the following January the management of the family business, which has been in existence since 1899, visited Hargassner in Weng to clarify the details of the new heating solution. Implementation took place in 2024 as part of the subsidy for process heat.
Thanks to the particle seperator, the strict German limit values for fine dust of less than 2.5 mg are easily met – a prerequisite for the subsidy. The Energy Booster 3.0 (flue gas condensation) also contributes to the efficiency of the plant. With this investment, Sägewerk Schneider has opted for an environmentally friendly biomass solution that covers the company’s energy requirements sustainably and CO2-neutrally.
The use of the Magno industrial heating system in operation enables the efficient utilisation of wood chips obtained from residual or damaged wood. The Magno series from Hargassner stands for high-performance biomass heating systems that have been specially developed for high heat requirements. They are used in a wide range of applications in
- commercial buildings,
- hotels,
- public facilities and in
- agricultural businesses and
- local heating networks.
A recent innovation is the further developed Magno-VR 399-600. With state-of-the-art technology, simple operation and an appealing design, this industrial heater sets new standards. Good reasons for heating with biomass include its high fuel flexibility and excellent energy efficiency, which makes the Magno-VR one of the most advanced biomass industrial heaters in its performance category.
