2 x wood chip boilers for hotel
Our part
in this
project
The task
The requirements:
- Expansion of a regional heating network for the entire hotel complex
- Sustainable heating
- Fossil-free heating
Our solution
With two efficient wood chip systems, each with an output of 200 kW, Seehotel Wiesler is taking the right step towards sustainability.
- 2 x Eco-HK 200 kW
- 25,000 litre accumulator tank
- 150 m³ bunker volume
With the construction of the new two-storey energy centre and the expansion of a regional heating network (for up to 10 buildings), Seehotel Wiesler on Lake Titisee is taking a significant step towards a sustainable future. Because the Seehotel Wiesler’s vision is: fossil-free energy self-sufficiency by 2026.
To achieve this, the first step was to replace the existing gas & wood chip boiler with two efficient Hargassner Eco-HK wood chip systems with a total output of 400 kW.
This means that the entire hotel – with over 40 rooms, a 1,000 m² wellness area with sauna facilities and two pools – can be supplied with sustainable heat.
An additional 60 kWp photovoltaic system on the roof of the hotel covers around a fifth of the electricity requirements. The heating network has a 25,000 litre buffer volume and a 150 m³ bunker where the wood chips are stored.
