Every fuel contains a certain amount of moisture. When the fuel is combusted, the water contained within it evaporates. The resulting water vapour is then discharged through the chimney together with the flue gases. The condensing heat exchanger cools the flue gases to below the dew point. As a result, the water vapour contained in the flue gases condenses and releases condensation heat. This additional heat can be utilised by the heating system and contributes to increasing overall efficiency. Thanks to the further cooling of the flue gases and the additional utilisation of the recovered heat, the condensing system can achieve a higher efficiency even at elevated return temperatures.
The additional utilisation of condensing technology can improve fuel utilisation and thereby reduce pellet consumption. This can have a positive impact on heating costs.
