The task
The requirements:
- Renewal of the old wood chip boiler
- Heat supply for three buildings and a workshop
- Independent heating system – fuel from our own forest
- Environmentally friendly thanks to low fine dust
Our solution
In Wittibreut (Bavaria), farmer Daniel Lenger has replaced his old Hargassner wood chip boiler with a new, even more climate-friendly Eco-HK 70 wood chip boiler:
- 1 x Eco-HK 70 kW wood chip boiler incl. eCleaner
- 1 x 2,000 litre accumulator tank
- 1 x wood chip storage
Heating system replaced after 100,000 operating hours
After 19 years, the Lenger agricultural business from Wittibreut (Bavaria) decided to replace its existing Hargassner wood chip boiler, which had clocked up over 100,000 operating hours. Three buildings and a workshop were heated with 50 kW and an additional oil firing system. With the upgrade to 70 kW output, the oil firing system also became obsolete.
The old system was fuelled with wood from the company’s own forest, with a previous consumption of 120 – 150 m³. Not only was the boiler replaced, but the extraction system was also renewed as part of the modernisation. One of the main reasons for choosing a Hargassner system again was the low repair and service costs.
An additionally integrated eCleaner also ensures significantly reduced fine dust generation in the new system. Here, the fine particles are electrically charged and instead of passing through the chimney, they settle on the walls of the boiler and are discharged into the ash pan by the cleaning device.
