Our solution
Drying 25 tonnes of maize with solar roof extraction & additional Power-Box from Hargassner: the Boindecker family opts for a hybrid solution!
The Boindecker family from Gurten relies on an innovative combination of solar roof extraction and the high-performance Hargassner Power-Box with wood chip boiler to efficiently dry their agricultural crops. The system achieves impressive results, especially when drying maize – even in the sunny autumn months.

Hackgut trifft Sonnenkraft
Bereits seit drei Jahren nutzt die Familie Boindecker die solare Dachabsaugung zur Schüttguttrocknung. Durch die Installation der mobilen Hargassner Power-Box mit einer Heizleistung von 220 kW wurde die Anlage entscheidend erweitert. Die Kombination aus regenerativer Sonnenwärme und Energie aus Hackgut sorgt für eine zuverlässige und energieeffiziente Trocknungslösung.
Die erwärmte Luft aus der Dachabsaugung wird in eine Flachrosttrocknung eingeleitet, die ursprünglich zur Trocknung von Hackgut konzipiert wurde. Durch den zusätzlichen Hackgutkessel in der Power-Box können nun täglich bis zu 25 Tonnen Mais getrocknet werden
The Hargassner Power Box
The Power Box from Hargassner is a mobile, compact heating centre that works with a permanently installed wood chip boiler. An integrated storage room provides space for up to 25 m³ of wood chips, which are automatically fed to the boiler via an intelligent conveyor system. A downstream heat exchanger supplies a high-performance fan that provides up to 20,000 m³/h of hot air for the drying system. In addition to pure drying applications, the Power-Box is also suitable for water-based applications such as floor heating in stables or on construction sites.
