The requirements:
- Heat supply for local heating network with 9 buildings
- Sustainable heating
- Combination with existing heating system
Our solution
Nine buildings in St. Ulrich are now sustainably supplied with heat by a Hargassner Eco-HK 150 wood chip boiler.
- 1 x Eco-HK 150 kW
- 3,000 litre accumulator tank
- Large wood chip storage
Since 2007, Simon Danzl has relied on a Hargassner wood chip boiler (HSV 50 kW) for his business and farmhouse. However, with the expansion of the local heating network in St. Ulrich, a more powerful solution was required. The answer: the Hargassner Eco-HK 150 kW now supplements the existing system and efficiently supplies nine buildings with heat.
The combined heating system consisting of the old 50 kW boiler and the new 150 kW boiler ensures continuous and efficient operation. A 3,000-litre accumulator tank optimises heat output and ensures that the smaller boiler covers demand in the warmer months, saving energy. The cascade operation also guarantees a high level of reliability.
With this clever combination of tradition and innovation, the local heating network in Ortisei is now operated efficiently and sustainably, with buildings that were previously heated with oil or electricity now also being supplied with renewable heat. The buildings heated include the stable and farmhouse, the new earthworks company building, the detached house with holiday flats, the Fasching family’s detached house, the rescue centre, the municipal building yard, the community shooting range and the Eder tinsmith’s workshop. The new solution was installed by our partner installer HSH-Installatör.
